Glove Size Guide
📏 How to choose the right size of your boxing gloves
The size of boxing gloves, expressed in ounces (OZ), represents their weight. Each size offers a different level of protection, padding and impact resistance. Choosing the right one is essential for training safely and improving performance.
🎯 Choose based on your body weight:
| Cut | Body weight (kg) | Recommended use |
|---|---|---|
| 8 OZ | < 45 kg | Technical training, speed, light competition |
| 10 OZ | 46 - 54 kg | Light training, quick punches, punching bag |
| 12 OZ | 55 - 70 kg | Bag, technique, controlled sparring |
| 14 OZ | 71 - 85 kg | Intense training, sparring, increased protection |
| 16 OZ | > 86 kg | Full contact sparring, maximum protection |
* These indications are for reference. Always consult your coach for the ideal choice.
📌 What is your training type?
- Sack and fast technique: Choose 10 OZ or 12 OZ for lighter weight.
- Mixed training: 12 OZ or 14 OZ offer protection and control.
- Sparring: 14 OZ or 16 OZ are mandatory to protect you and your companion.
💡Pro tip:
If you are just starting out, aim for 12 or 14 OZ: versatile, protective and perfect for complete training. For sparring, choose 14 OZ minimum, even if you are light.
